ASTRONOMY: RHODES AT THE HartRAO

Held on 14 August 2004 by Prof Justin Jonas, Department of Physics & Electronics, this was an introduction to stargazing and the facilities at the Hartebeesthoek Radio Astronomy Observatory (HartRAO), the only major radio astronomy observatory in Africa.
Lectures and demonstrations provided background to the work done at HartRAO, with an emphasis on the contribution by Rhodes staff, students and alumni.
